Implementation of the BRIN resulted in
• creation of an efficient channel and development of procedures for direct communications between RF and UK innovation organisations operating in technology transfer and commercialisation area;
• identification of priority technology areas for collaboration between RF and UK regions;
• assistance to RTTN members in establishing direct contacts with British companies interested in co-operation with Russia;
• training workshops focused at knowledge transfer and transfer of good practice to participating organisations of the Russian innovation infrastructure, and
• further knowledge transfer to Russian innovators – clients and partners of regional RTTN members.
Activities implemented within the project:
• a number of training workshops focused at enhancing the skills of the BRIN member organisations in the area of transnational technology transfer;
• a training in the UK for representatives of the BRIN member organisations staff that included practical work in British IRCs;
• over 280 UK technology offers and requests and over 140 Russian ones disseminated among BRIN clients;
• over 60 expressions of interest received;
• 7 bilateral negotiations on potential co-operation. Three more are suspended because of completion of IRC contracts in March 2008.
